Awards
Korean Quarterly has been conferred over 25 awards for journalistic excellence and community leadership over the years, notably: The Asian American Leadership Award by the Council on Asian Pacific Minnesotans, 2008; an International Affairs Award in the New America Media national awards competition, 2006; the Global Korea Award for advancement of the Korean community locally and globally, 2005; the Community Service Award from the Consulate General of Chicago, which represents a nine-state area of the U.S., 2004; and the 2002 Utne/Independent Press Association award for Ethnic Issues Coverage.
