The adoptee service and advocacy organization Adoptee Hub will offer a virtual meeting and conversation about birth family search and reunion challenges with guest speaker Shelby Redfield Kilgore. The session will be offered online, via Zoom, Saturday, March 26, 10 a.m.
Kilgore, a Korean adoptee, has 15 years of experience as a filmmaker and documentarian of adoptee stories. She has listened to and recorded many search and reunion stories through her work. These are available at her website: www.wearemirrorlight.com/films .
Kilgore’s experience will provide a backdrop for adoptees to speak openly in a private and safe space about birth family search issues. Adoptee Hub will continue to offer monthly sessions to help adoptees share their successes and challenges.
There is a suggested donation of $5 to $10 to help keep these sessions available. For more information and registration, see the events on the website at: www.adopteehub.org/events.
