Giving Voice to the Korean American Community
Adoptee Hub will hold its fifth anniversary and fundraiser April 15, 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Roseville Center Banquet Hall.
The keynote speaker for the event will be Korean adoptee Rebecca Kimmel of Washington (state), whose birth family search resulted in her discovery that her birth records had been falsified. Her story was reported in Korean media. In searching for the wrong birth father, she was able to help reunite one birth father with his twin birth daughters who had been adopted.
In addition to Rebecca Kimmel’s talk and discussion to follow, the event will include a Korean dinner, silent auction and door prizes.
An early bird registration ($45) is available now until March 30. Regular price tickets ($55) will be available April 1 through 14. Day of event tickets are $65.
Proceeds from the event will go toward Adoptee Hub’s adoption registry, which will bring Korean adoptees and their birth parents together through confidential matching.
