Artist exhibition of works in paper, thread and canvas
Fiber artist Lora Vahlsing will exhibit a collection of new works entitled What the Paper Reveals in a solo exhibition in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.
The pieces, in two and three dimensions, repeat geometric and organic shapes in various combinations, and are created from paper, thread and canvas. Vahlsing said she creates “slow art, objects that need precision over a sustained period. I’m interested in the subtle nuances created by repeating monochromatic shapes and its effects on mood.”
This solo exhibit will be at the Thelma Sadoff Center for the Arts, 51 Sheboygan Street, Fond du Lac, from January 28 to March 13. Gallery hours and more information at: www.thelmaarts.org or see link to website page below.
