Giving Voice to the Korean American Community
HANA Center in Chicago will hold a Lunar New Year celebration for the Year of the Blue Dragon on Saturday, February 10, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the center, located at 4300 N. California Ave.
The event will include a poongmulnori (traditional drumming) performance, with opportunities to try the traditional drums, New Year blessings, an intergenerational saebae (traditional formal bow) during which elders receive bows from the younger generation; games such as yutnori and jaegi-chagi: and a hanbok photo shoot where participants can pose in their traditional hanbok (or other national costume of the participant’s choice).
