Korean Adoptees of Chicago (KAtCH) will celebrate the Korean lunar new year (Seollal) with a virtual celebration (and optional cook-along) on Saturday, January 30 from 5 to 6 p.m.
KAtCH member Taneka Hye Wol Jennings will cook dduk guk, a traditional soup for good luck in the new year made with beef broth and Korean rice cakes. This virtual celebration is free, but reservations are required on an Eventbrite site (see link).
To cook along and make dduk guk at home for Seollal (and have better luck in the new year), see the recipe included on the Eventbrite reservation site.
