Giving Voice to the Korean American Community
The Sejong Cultural Society, located in Chicago, will offer its annual teachers’ program in a webinar format, designed for elementary, middle school and high school teachers. it is entitled Comparing Verses from Korea, China and Japan, to teach the art and discipline of sijo, a traditional Korean poetry form. Participants will be invited to write their own sijo and discuss lesson plans for sijos. For more information, see the events tab at: sejongsociety.org. There class material will be presented on four dates: Sunday, June 14; Sunday, August 2; Sunday, September 20; and Sunday, November 8.
