This series of lectures will offer topics on Korean history focused on war, democratization and economic development of South Korea, Korean American immigration history, and Korean traditional music and arts. It will also include the period of the post-Los Angeles riots, the political growth of the Korean American community, the history and significance of the Korean writing system (hangul), and Korean language.
